For You

This is such a cute card and so easy to make. It's one of my 1 layer cards, I really had to control myself as I love to layer! I made the bull rushes by adding the little cut outs from the horizontal slot punch. Very easy when you need a quick card and it's a great one for the guys too...not too froofy, lol...is that even a word?

Cupcakes Anyone?

Hi!

Here's a great colour combination, Pixie Pink and Black...I love it! The cupcake has a little bite out of it, I used my Scallop Circle punch then coloured the icing in with my glue pen and added Dazzling Diamonds to make it pop! The polka dot background was made with the Texture Plate in Background 1 set. These are so much fun to use and it gives a subtle background.

Kraft is one of my favourite colours!

Hi everyone

I'm taking a short break and thought I'd play on the computer and blog this card for you, I had this crazy idea that I would start to reorganize my craft room...what was I thinking?!?! Now I have succeeded in making a total mess and I'm not sure if I'll ever get it sorted out! LOL!!! But I have found a few long lost goodies in my overwhelming stash, so that's good news. This card is one of my favourites, I just love this little bird and I love working with Kraft cardstock, it seems to go with just about every colour!

Beautiful sunny day...no brellies needed yet!

Hi everyone!

We are enjoying some beautiful September weather on the coast! Love that sunshine!! Beautiful sunny days and cooler nights. Fall is in the air and it won't be long before we need the umbrellas, so we'll enjoy while we can.

I love this stamp set and the little pink rubber boots! I remember as a little girl, how much I loved putting on my own rubber boots, athough they weren't this cute...actually they were black gumboots, LOL!

I would hurry out into the rain, with my brellie and I loved to jump into every puddle on the way to school. There were deep puddles that I would wade through carefully, wondering how far I could get without the water running down into my boots to soak my feet. I loved those deep puddles, you could actually make waves with them! I liked the little ones too, if you stomped in them with just the right force, the puddle would fly everywhere! I have to confess that I love the rain!! I love the sunshine too, but when it rains, it's just so cozy and it makes everything fresh and green!

Family Favourite Cookies

Hi everyone!

At my Card Buffet in August I made these cookies and lots of you asked me for the recipe. It's an old Family Favourite, I hope they become your favourites too! I usually make them into Chocolate Chips because those are the most popular around here But you can subsitute the chocolate chips for 1/2 cup of peanut butter, or you can add spices and raisens to them, or M & M's...really the sky's the limit! I think that's how these got their name, they are easy and so tasty and well...absolute favourites! If you come up with something different to add and it's yummalicious, let me know!!

Family Favourite Cookies

1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Shortening
3/4 cup Brown sugar
3/4 cup White sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Baking Soda in 1 tsp hot water
1 Tsp. Vanilla
2 1/4 cups Flour

Cream butters and sugars. (I always use Imperial Margarine squares instead of butter & shortening.) Add eggs, baking soda/hot water and vanilla. Stir in flour.
Bake @ 350 for 8 - 10 minutes on greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheets.

*For Chocolate Chips cookies add 1 cup chocolate chips(or more!)
*Same for Butterscotch Chips
*For Peanut Butter add 1/2 cup Peanut butter (chunky or smooth) and press with fork tines for decoration.

Hope you love them as much as we do! Enjoy!

Wishes for you!

Hi everyone!

Here's a pretty card share for you. I used the Forever Flowers Wheel, rolling it in Versamark ink, embossed it with clear embossing powder and dabbed a little glue pen here and there on the leaves and gave it a Wow with Dazzling Diamonds. It's a 4 1/4" square card. It`s so pretty and dainty. Love it!

Top Note Purse

Isn't this the cutest little purse? This was one of our projects we did at one of my classes and it was so much fun to make! It is the perfect size to tuck in a few chocolates, and what girl doesn't like chocolates!! Or you could use it for a gift card holder.

I used Stampin'Up's Top Note Bigz Die, with the Big Shot (now this machine is really one of my favourite things!!) The two Top Notes Bigz dies are layered and trimmed at the top. They are adhered onto a little box and the top closure is the big Scallop Circle die cut, with a smaller circle inside. To close it I used a velcro dot, and added wide organza ribbon for the handle.

Isn't it cute?

What I used:
Patterned paper, Whisper white Cardstock
Top Note Bigz Die
Big Scallop Circle Die
Circle cutter
Paper Piercer
5 Petal Flower Punch
Pearl Brad
White Organza ribbon

Hope you like it!
