Starry Sky Birthday

 Hi everyone!!

Today I’m joining Canada Inks Up blog hop to celebrate the new 2022-2024 in Colours!

I’ve chosen to use Starry Sky for my card. This is a fast and very easy card to make, the first layer is Starry Sky, the same colour as the card base and is dry embossed with Pretty Flowers embossing folder.

The beautiful Hues of Happiness Designer Series paper does all the work on this card! It’s gorgeous!!

The DSP is cut at 4” x 2 3/4” and then matted on a Pool Party layer cut at 4 1/4” x 3”.  I distressed this layer and then sponged the edges with Coastal Cabana ink.

The rose is fussy cut from the same DSP and I punched the fronds with the bough punch.  I cut out three more fronds using vellum and coloured the stems with Granny Apple Green Blends and then I coloured the flowers with the white watercolour pencil. They look like Lily of the Valley to me! I also added a piece of Silver Mesh ribbon under the bouquet.

For the inside I cut the same DSP and then cut another layer and used a die from the Basic Borders dies.

I lined the envelope with a piece of Hues of Happiness DSP…I love decorated envelopes!  It makes opening a pretty card so much more fun!!

Thanks for stopping by to share a bit of your time with me!  Have fun checking out all the other wonderful creations in the blog hop!  Hugs ~ Judy 💕

Hello everyone!!

I had so much fun making this card!

Vintage/Shabby Chic is my favourite, I love mixing stamps, die cuts and bits of ribbon. It’s great when an idea in your head comes together perfectly too! Doesn’t always happen but I love when it does!!

I distressed the art piece edges with my old scissors, added a doily die cut from the retired Encircled in Beauty dies…I love these dies!

The die cut leaves and flowers are from Ranunculus Romance as well. All the edges are sponged with Crumb Cake ink.

I also used some left over pieces I had from my original One Sheet Wonder and cut out an outline heart for the frame. I stamped the art layer and the heart with the script from Very Versailles and Ranunculus Romance. I also stamped the outline around the art piece with a stamp from the Stitchery stamp set.

The main flower is from my favourite stamp set Flowing Flowers, stamped in Magenta Madness ink, I love this flower!

I added Very Vanilla Scalloped lace and pink rhinestones to finish.

Here’s the inside, again I used the Stitchery stamp set, so glad it’s in the new catalogue!!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog!  Hope you have a fabulous day!!

Hugs~💕🌸
