A Christmas Wish

Here's another Christmas card share...I have lots more to show you too!

There are a lot of great tutorials on this technique, even some videos, but Patty Bennett has a great tutorial here.  For my card I made my own template from the DSP cardboard, instead of using the wooden frame as shown on Patty's tutorial.   I cut circles, lined them up and adhered them together to make my background, so that when I put the cardstock and embossing folder through my Big Shot (this technique works great with the Cuttlebug too), it left a lovely space in the centre.

I punched out an ornament in Pretty in Pink and also ran it through the same embossing folder, Finial this folder!  Then I ran my 2 way glue pen over the raised embossing on the ornament and added Dazzling Diamonds.  The sentiment is from the set Home for Christmas.

To finish it I added a knot bow with our White Tafetta Ribbon (this makes the best bows!) and drew a light pencil line fromt the top of the ornament to the top edge of the card.  The ferns are from a Martha punch.

Hope you like it....thanks for stopping by!

Great card and I love the idea of pink for a Christmas card. Glad you reminded me about this frame.
