More Seed Packets!
Hi everyone, it's a blustery rainy day today and I have lots of new things to share, I just haven't had a minute to sit down and post them! I had so much fun making this card from one of my seed packet templates that I just had to sit down for a minute and share it with you.
There's not any stamping on my card except for the sentiment on the inside. There is some sponging though :) I sponged clouds with Soft Sky ink using a scrap of cardstock that I cut to look like the bumps of cloud shapes. I pulled the ink starting on the template, off towards the seed packet, moving it at different angles to give the illusion of clouds.
The little bunnies are die cuts from Impression Obsession, I used Baked Brown Sugar and sponged them with Early Espresso, then I used a black pen for their eyes. The fence is a Martha Halloween punch and I trimmed off the bats and sponged the pickets in Smokey Slate. I also sponged the grass lightly with Wild Wasabi. For the lettuce I used a tiny piece cut from the new Spiral Flower die, cutting a piece of green crepe paper and rolled it up to form the cabbage.
I fringed a piece of Wild Wasabi with the new Fringe Scissors and fiddled around making tufts of grass to poke between the fence pickets. The little flowers were punched with an old punch I got from the Dollar Store. For the flowers I used Crushed Curry, dotted the centre with a black pen and then shaped them on an old mouse pad.
The cardstock was embossed with a Chicken Wire folder from Cuttlebug on Pool Party cardstock and the ribbon is Pool Party seam binding. I had so much fun making this card, I especially love the little bunny hopping over the fence!
I just had to share one more card in this post :) This was another card I had in my head, so had to take a moment to put it together :)
I sponged the dirt with Soft Suede ink, then drew (with a pencil) a couple of mounds to define the dirt. The carrots are made with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch using Pumpkin Pie cardstock and it's sponged with Soft Suede ink, then I pencilled in a few little carrot detail thingies.
The carrot tops are made by fringing a piece of green crepe paper, then are attached with a dab of Tombow glue. The cardstock is Wild Wasabi, and after embossing with the Chicken Wire embossing folder I sponged the raised embossing with the same ink.
Super easy card and so much fun to make!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and for being patient with my off and on again postings! I love your visits, thanks for sharing your time with me!

A little Vintage
Hi everyone!
Just a quick card to share with you today, it's made with the Shop Around Wheel. I unmounted the rubber stamp from the wheel and I really like the way it stamps :) I've amounted all my wheel stamps and I find I use them way more...such fun!

I stamped the unmounted wheel in VersaMark ink and then embossed it with White Embossing Powder on Whisper White Cardstock. Next I cut the images out by frames and sponged first with Marina Mist then over sponged with Pacific Point.
The background paper is Beau Chateau (I think!) and it's retired, I sponged it as well. I cut a paper doily in half and gave it some sponging too. I was going to use my beautiful Vintage Buttons but I couldn't find them in my mess of a craft room...I was lucky to find my table! I need to clean up and I'm sure I'll find a few things that have gone missing :) So instead, I used the retired Organza roses and did more sponging. All of the sponging was done with Marina Mist ink.
I punched the leaves using the Bird punch branch....I can never remember what that punch is called! To finish it I added a bit of Dazzling Details to the doily, leaves and flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today to share your time with me! I love your visits :)

My Favourite Things
Hi everyone!
Well I had a bit of a tussle when I made this card! I had originally used the beautiful stamp set by Emily Montoya called Spread the Joy. I made it for my last card class and realized the day before my class that this beautiful set is no longer available. Oh no... I hope they bring it back, it's so sweet and whimsical.
I was so disappointed and since I had my heart set on this style of card but didn't want to use the unavailable stamp set, (I find it so annoying when you can't get something you've used in a class)....so... I made my own set of words and printed them off to share with everyone at the class. I'm including them here for you to download in case you like them as well. Here's a close up for you...
And here's the full card
If you'd like to use My Favourite Words, just click, copy to your computer and print! I added some little doodles with a black pen. Hope you have fun with with the download!
Well, that's it for my today share, I really like how soft and pretty it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by to share your time with me!

To make this card I used the SAB 2014 Decorative Dots Embossing Folder for the background and tied a bow with Pink Organza ribbon that I got at my local packaging store. I stamped the flourish (using Early Espresso) using the Layered Labels stamp set and then die cut it with the Adorning Accents Framelit die. The cardstock is Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla.
I drew an oval line around the words and then cut it out, then I highlighted the phrases I wanted to use with Versamark and rubbed pink eyeshadow over top of the ink. This is a great use for odd coloured eyeshadows that come in a pack with a colour you must have! I sponged the edges of the die and layer with Early Espresso and added the die cut to the card base with dimensionals.
The flowers were made by punching out 3 flowers with the new Petite Petals Punch and after crumpling them, I carefully separated each flower into two, (Faux Suede Technique). Using a glue dot, I adhered two petals together, fuzzy side up and added a small pearl to the centre of each flower. I reshaped the flower with my fingers. I love these delicate looking blooms :)
Well, that's it for my today share, I really like how soft and pretty it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by to share your time with me!

Valentine Banners
Hi everyone, it's a cold blustery day here on the southwest coast but it's bright and sunny and that's better than rain or snow!
Today's card is super easy! I love the new little banner punch! My card size today is 4 x 4 so it's a quick and easy card when you need one in a hurry!
I've seen lot's of these style of cards online, but it seems a bit tricky to line up the string to hang the banners on, so I made a faux string..lol...I attached the banners with a glue dot then I used black embroidery thread to make the bows and put a tiny line with a black marker to make it look as it they are strung together.

It's kind of hard to see the card base, it's black with a white layer embossed with the new Arrows Embossing folder. The DSP is Modern Medley, after the banners were punched, I edged each of them with the brush tip using the Black Marker. The Hearts are punched out of the Red Glimmer Paper.
Quick and easy...gotta love it! I hope you like it :) Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!

Surprise...it's me!
Hi everyone!
Happy New Year...I wanted to send this late wish rather than none at all! So Happy New Year everyone, I hope it's a wonderful year ahead for you filled with love, laughter, good health, good friends and of course a little dash of mischief tucked in for good measure!
I also want to tell you all how much I appreciate you, I can see that I still have lots of you following my blog and to my complete surprise and wonder, lots of you are newcomers and have joined me even though I've not been updating my blog since....oh my..gosh...last summer! So thank you for coming to my little corner of the world to check in on me and welcome! I love to have your company on my ramblings and its fun to share my creations with you too. I appreciate you all so much, big hugs from me to you!!
Here's a close up showing the focal point of the card I made, Champagne glasses of course! I designed a New Year's background page that I'm hoping will show up here (!) so that you can click on it and print it out for your own use...fingers crossed that it will work!
I've been trying to totally convert my things from my old PC and so after updating my Mac with Windows I think I might be onto something, that is with lots of help from my son for installing it, teaching me new things and his reminders to use Dropbox. If this works, I'll be so pleased and it will be easier to share here on my blog rather than sending individual emails to share. Hope it works!!
So, here we go, onto the card I made with my homemade background, I hope you like it! I really had fun with it.
Supplies I used: Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Black Organza Ribbon, Flower (MFT Rolled Rose Die) Happy Hour (used a black marker to ink up the Champagne glasses), Fringe Scissors for the Streamers, Gelly Roll Sakura Pen (Clear Star) to colour in the Champagne and Glass Beads from the Bead store.
Thanks so much for stopping by to share your time with me! If you can download and print my text background, please leave me a quick comment to let me know...thanks so much!
